La Voce D’Italia informs their listeners with news directly from Italy and also local news. La Voce D’Italia ( The Voice Of Italy ) is direct to Italians, Italian-Americans, and people who love Italian Music and Culture, in southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Aiello, who came to the United States from Castrolibero, Calabria, in 1966 explains how much Italian means to one with roots in that country. "Aiello, announcer and program director is a walking image of the American Dream that most foreign immigrants have in mind when they think of coming to the United States. Aiello, an Italian immigrant, was the only member of his family to come here. His father, mother, brothers and sister emigrated in Australia. Luigi joined his new bride, Gina, in Kenosha in 1966 where he and Gina raised their family." Aiello, said he "believes his program serves not only the Italian American community, but also the region at large." In recent years, Aiello has done live broadcasts from area festivals in Racine, Kenosha and Milwaukee.
